The Film and Festivals Workshop is an event for those Generator participants who plan to send their films to international film festivals.
Hanna Mironenko-Usikova, currently working for Russian-based company, FESTAGENT, Gaia Meucci, the programmer of Encounters Short and Animation Film Festival and Tomáš Prášek, the founder of Eventival and a long-time festival organizer, will give you tips and tricks that will help participants make their film’s festival life more successful.
This is a 2-day practical seminar with examples, tasks, discussions and Q&A. Three short films will be screened during the workshop.
The guest speakers are:
– Weronika Drzewinska, Marcin Luczaj, and Szymon Stemplewski, Ad Arte
– Gaia Meucci, programmer for the Encounters Short Film Festival
– Hanna Mironenko-Usikova, FESTAGENT, Russia
– Tomáš Prášek, Founder of Eventival, a long-time festival organizer
Travelling Festivals and Programmes
Another part of the Culture Management Workshops will be particularly dedicated to discussing travelling festivals and programmes held by Ad Arte representatives: Weronika Drzewinska, Marcin Luczaj and Szymon Stemplewski.
How to deal with screening partners and filmmakers, how to make 70 screenings in a month without losing your mind? How to create a network of screening venues and how to involve them in marketing and gaining a local audience? What kind of agreements need to be signed and what is an average real and in-kind budget of the enterprise? Is it worth to collaborate with embassies, cultural institutes or rather with other festivals? Or maybe it is worth to reach filmmakers and right-holders directly?
We will try to discuss these and other issues during the workshop. Our aim is to share (and exchange) experience regarding travelling programmes on the basis of screening Polish shorts both in Poland and abroad, as well as on presenting various international shorts programmes in Polish venues (World Shorts, FFoM).
